Eating out on the Costa Blanca is a joy. With
such a diversity of restaurants, the challenge is deciding which one to
choose: traditional Mediterranean with sumptuous sea food, salads and fruit;
or perhaps a restaurant specialising in food from Northern Spain (famous
for game and poultry). Cuisine from Argentina, China, France, Germany,
Russia and the UK is also widely available. Alicante has shops to suit all tastes; from superstores to designer clothing outlets; and from food markets to sports shops. Supermarkets are present as well as the local markets which are a marvel to see – whether to buy or merely observe. The beaches of the Costa Blanca are beautiful; in particular the coast line of Guardamar del Segura has an eleven mile long, Blue Flag certified beach, edged by pine forest. There are also several beaches on the Costa Blanca within only 10 to 15 minutes drive of the villa with beautiful bays, restaurants and play areas for children. |
